Been there, done that

Like any trip, this one to India comes to an end today and we look back at a couple of our observations.

Vegetables and Non-Vegetables
The Indians divide food into veg and non-veg. For a vegetarian, this is heaven. Especially since, Veg often comprises at least half the menu. The French have much to learn, particularly, that fish and chicken are not vegetarian alternatives to "meat".

Matrimonials
Luckily we were engaged just before arriving in India. Otherwise, we risked being tempted by such proposals for marriage: Brahmin caste, veg, born 3:54am, 3-12-83, tall seeks beautiful, slim, fair skinned veg. Specifying "veg" (or "non veg"), "fair", the precise moment of birth and caste is very important. Clearly.

Hey did you manage to get a contact number for that "veg" born at 3:54am? Just curious...
