New Delhi one day, old London town the next. Cool huh?
Yesterday, London put on a brilliant 24 degrees for us. The voice over in the tube warned us that due to the extreme heat we should carry a bottle of water with us at all times. Quaint, given that we had come from 43 degree heat.
But London is more than just good weather, it is particularly exciting that we can now brush our teeth with tap water. And drink tap water. Your perspective on luxury changes quite easily.
We're staying with our friend Stu who has an awesome apartment near Old Street Station. He conveniently had plans for a picnic with aussies which we crashed on Primrose Hill - a fancy part of town where you can apparently rub shoulders with some B grade celebrities. We saw none but I'm sure once they hear we're in town, they'll find us.
We did meet a fellow blogger who has an awesome blog on vegetarianism and French food. You can read Ching Li's musings here: www.lilyandchew.blogspot.com. Ching Li also happens to be a graphics designer for the London Paper (the equivalent of the mX in Sydney) as does Stu's flatmate. Refrishingly, only Stu is a lawyer in his group of friends. Not that we don't love all you lawyers friends out there.
We didn't take a camera with us so, unfortunately, no photos on this post.
Today begins our turnaround, healthy, skinny, 'we need to go to a wedding' regime. We're about to go running around a canal which, rumour has it, connects to all the canals in England. If this rumour is true, this run may take a while. We'll keep you posted.
